Bastrop County Warrant RecordsBastrop County Warrant Records

Contact the office that holds the record. Start with the case paper. Bastrop County's Sheriff directory separates Warrants from Open Records, while district and county clerks maintain different case files. Use the warrant contact for a service question and the records unit for an existing Sheriff document. A court clerk is the right first stop for a case entry, citation, or payment question. This page groups the county contact routes so you can choose a desk before placing a call or sending a request. City and JP cases should go to the court named on the citation.

Not a government office. This website cannot confirm, search, or clear a warrant. Contact Bastrop County Sheriff's Office, the issuing court, or the relevant city or JP court for an official answer.

Where to Request Bastrop County Records

For a service-side warrant question, call BCSO Warrants. For a Sheriff-held report, use the Sheriff Open Records channel rather than the county's general information form. Court records belong with the clerk for the court that handled the case.

The District Clerk keeps district-court criminal files, including felony matters. The County Clerk handles County Court and County Court at Law records, including misdemeanors. For a traffic or Class C case, use the JP precinct or municipal court named on the citation. The county's Public Information Requests page explains the general request route and says not to use the general form for Sheriff records.

A written request should identify an existing document, case or citation number if known, date range, and preferred delivery method. BCSO requests may be emailed, faxed, mailed, or delivered in person. The agency may withhold records under confidentiality or law-enforcement exceptions and can ask for clarification. No universal warrant counter schedule or walk-in surrender procedure was located.
